Sunshades & Canopies for a Smoky Mountain Storefront

Architectural canopies and sunshade systems for this striking retail storefront in Sevierville, Tennessee. The bold stone-and-glass facade called for metalwork that complemented the building's scale and materials without competing with them — clean lines, dark finishes, and precise geometry.
The Challenge
A large-format retail storefront with a two-story glass curtain wall entry and stone-clad pilasters. The canopy and sunshade systems needed to integrate with mixed materials (stone, glass, EIFS) while handling the structural loads of a Smoky Mountain climate.
The Solution
Jackson Williams designed and installed aluminum canopies over the main entry and sunshade systems across the storefront. The dark-finished metal complements the building's earth-tone palette, while the clean horizontal lines balance the vertical mass of the stone pilasters.
