Aluminum Patio Cover for UNC Health Caldwell Medical Office Building
Jackson Williams fabricated and installed a custom aluminum patio cover for UNC Health Caldwell's medical office building in Lenoir, NC. The dark anodized bronze finish complements the building's modern mixed-material facade of metal panels, stone veneer, and wood-look cladding, creating a clean, welcoming entrance for patients and staff.
The Challenge
The patio cover needed to integrate seamlessly with the building's contemporary design language while meeting the durability and low-maintenance requirements of a healthcare facility. The dark bronze finish had to coordinate with multiple facade materials including stone, metal panels, and wood-look cladding.
The Solution
Jackson Williams engineered a column-supported aluminum patio cover using 6"×6" columns and 8" extruded aluminum decking with integrated 12" fascia gutters for clean drainage. The AAMA 2604 baked-on finish in Dark Anodized Bronze ties the structure to the building's modern aesthetic while providing lasting weather protection.
